Beethoven Unwrapped

Beethoven Unwrapped is all about discovering the music of one of the greatest composers of all time in a concert experience that is immersive, accessible and emotionally powerful.

In the first half of the concert, guest conductor Brent Stewart, with the help of the orchestra, “unwrapped” Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 —bringing out key themes, rhythms, and harmonies, and sharing insights into Beethoven’s ideas and emotions through music and storytelling. This interactive approach helped audiences connect with the music on a deeper level, whether longtime concertgoers or hearing Beethoven for the first time.

After the interval, the orchestra performed the full symphony. With their insights gained in the first half, audiences experienced the complete work with a new understanding and appreciation – a chance to hear one of Beethoven’s greatest masterpieces come alive in a fresh, accessible way.

Beethoven Unwrapped is for everyone. We want to provide a warm, inclusive, open and accessible concert experience for young and old, for classical music experts as well as newcomers to the genre. Everyone is welcome!
